The Park Plaza London Waterloo is modern 4-star hotel on London’s South Bank, combining contemporary accommodation with dedicated meetings and events facilities. The property is well suited to residential conferences, healthcare meetings, training programmes and corporate events.

Location and Setting

The Park Plaza Waterloo is located in the heart of London and a 10-minute walk from the major rail and London Rail Underground station of Waterloo which provides access to the International airports of London Heathrow and Gatwick in 45 minutes or just over an hour away by car. London City Airport is 40 minutes away by public transport or by car and for those driving, although the hotel does not have its own parking, local valet parking and parking can be arranged through the hotel. There is a limited amount of parking on site that can be pre-arranged, and there is space for coach drop off on the road.

The hotel is just a short walk from Guys and St Thomas’s Hospital and 42 minutes from Excel, London’s largest congress centre in London, and home to International Healthcare Congresses such as EULAR and ESC.

Design

The Park Plaza Waterloo is a contemporary high-specification hotel featuring modern architecture, bright meeting spaces and purpose-built event facilities. Bedrooms and public areas have a clean, modern design aesthetic.

Bedrooms

The hotel offers 494  contemporary Superior Rooms, Studio Rooms, Executive Rooms and One-Bedroom Suites. Standard room amenities include complimentary Wi‑Fi, work desk, mini fridge, tea and coffee facilities, air conditioning and in-room entertainment systems.

Meetings:

The hotel offers six flexible meeting rooms with natural daylight, high-speed Wi‑Fi, integrated audiovisual equipment and individual climate control. Rooms can be combined through movable partitions to accommodate up to 144 delegates theatre style. Dedicated pre-function and registration space is available together with breakout areas. Meeting space is all situated on one floor, and can be completely privatised.

Restaurant:

Florentine Restaurant & Bar serves Italian-inspired cuisine and can support corporate dining, networking events and group meals. Private dining and confidential discussions are advised to be held in meeting spaces.

Executive Lounge and terrace spaces on the upper floors are available for receptions, networking events and private functions. Pre-function areas can also be used for registration, exhibitions and catering breaks. Hotel has two restaurant spaces, allowing one to be semi-privatised.

Experience:

The venue actively supports healthcare and compliant meetings through dedicated event facilities and sector-specific meeting packages. Meeting spaces are suited to advisory boards, training, investigator meetings and educational events.

Leisure:

Overnight guests of the hotel have complimentary access to the Mandara Spa (a Park Plaza brand) and fitness gym which provides machines and some free weights. There is a small pool with a sauna and steam room and pre-booked treatments are provided by two rooms but are chargeable. These facilities will not be included in any proposal for meetings and events that involved external HCPs.

Wellness facilities include a 15-metre indoor swimming pool, sauna, steam room and fully equipped gym. These facilities are available to hotel guests and residential delegates.

The hotel is centrally located in London however, it does not overlook the main tourist sites the city has to offer, however, its location is attractive to travellers wishing to use the hotel as a base for leisure stays.

The hotel's leisure facilities include the Park Plaza brand, Mandara Spa. including a sauna and a steam room, however, there is no pool and treatments are chargeable.
