Radisson Blu Royal Viking Hotel, Stockholm

General Overview:

The Radisson Blu Royal Viking is a 4-star business hotel in the heart of Stockholm and provides a large amount of meeting space and bedrooms and a location to support small to medium size national and international meetings.

Location:
Directly opposite Stockholm's Central Station on a main road, the location is a mix of commercial offices and shops. Via the station, access to Arlanda Airport by Arlanda Express takes 18mns, and Stockholmsmassan is under 20 mins by train. The Waterfront Congress Centre is a 3-minute walk away and Stockholm's other airport, Bromma is 20 minutes away by taxi.

Design:
The hotel exterior presents a mainly concrete 9-floor building, with two lower glass-fronted floors. The interior, including bedrooms, presents a combination of sober tones, a contemporary finish and in the bedrooms, and art from local artists, designed with well-being and relaxation in mind. 
 

Sleeping Rooms:

The décor in the hotel's 459 bedrooms aligns with that of the rest of the hotel with clean simple low-tone colours with some local artwork to personalise sleeping rooms. There is free Wi-Fi throughout all rooms, as well as the now-standard flat-screen television, safe, iron/board, fully stocked mini-bars (which can be unstocked or removed), and tea and coffee-making facilities.
 

Meeting Rooms:

The hotel has 17 rooms and can accommodate meetings from 4 to 150 delegates theatre style. With all meeting rooms situated around the central Atrium, the space feels light, bright, and modern in design with the light-coloured walls and grey carpets with dark furniture.

Restaurant:

The naturally lit and open-plan Atmosphere Atrium is on the ground floor and is where guests take a buffet breakfast. As a private event space, it can accommodate up to 350. A second restaurant, Stockholm Fisk specialises in fish and seafood and might be more suited to private groups than HCP meetings as the menu is individual and high-end in how it is marketed and priced. 

Experience:

With its location next to Central Station, the hotel can support smaller internal and external meeting types and those associated with congresses being held in the city. 

Fitness:

The hotel offers free access to a Fitness Centre. There is an indoor pool and sauna but access is chargeable.

On the ninth floor is HIGH, the hotel's rooftop cocktail bar with 'sweeping views of the cityscape'. This should not form part of any HCP programmes but bookers need to consider this facility when placing meetings here.
